Qualification should start from a framework like MEDDIC/MEDDPICC and its purpose is to locate precisely where a deal actually is in the sales process versus where the rep thinks it is
The sales process is like Google Maps giving turn-by-turn directions to an order in the shortest time; qualifying questions act as the GPS that establishes the rep's true position so the leader can coach on what information is missing and what to do next

MEDDIC still matters and AI does not change its relevance
No pain, no deal; no champion, no deal — and champions are developed by showing them how to use metrics to get the deal done

The real value of operationalizing a qualification framework is that reps learn transferable concepts in the context of one deal, and you know it's working when reps use the terminology with each other without a manager present.
Qualification becoming part of the culture means it happens by itself and the manager only has to spot check.

MEDDIC/MEDDPIC becomes useless when reps treat it as a checkbox exercise; identifying the true champion and change agent requires real questioning and is an art that is hard to teach.
Every big deal that gets done has a change agent driving it through their own organization's process, and only probing questions reveal who that is.
9:42 Frameworks fail when run as checkboxes
